Boston bands love two things: songs about Boston, and songs about friends. So we decided to write a song about Boston, and our friends — except we wanted to do it in a way that wasn't lame, garish, or corny, and that acknowledged the flaws and troubled history of the region, and still kicked stadium rock ass. I think we did all right.
